
Dún Aonghusa Fort
Set on the edge of a sheer drop of almost 300ft to the sea, it offers a spectacular view over Galway Bay. It is one of the most famous and important prehistoric monuments in Europe. - Guests of our house can avail of complimentary access to the fort.

Kilmurvey Blue Flag Beach
This beautiful white sand-sheltered beach is located 500 metres from Kilmurvey House. It is the only blue flag beach on the island of Inishmore. Kilmurvey Beach is a great place to pass the afternoon, with crystal clear water, it’s both inviting and invigorating!

Worm Hole
The Wormhole is a rectangular-shaped basin that was naturally carved by mother nature. Its dimensions are approximately 25m long, 10m wide and between 10-20m deep. The Wormhole or “Poll na bPeist” in Irish, is a spectacular natural feature and one of the main attractions on Inishmore.

The Seven Churches
Situated 4kms West of Kilmurvey is ‘Na Seacht dTeampaill’, or the Seven Churches as it’s otherwise known. For centuries this was one of the biggest monastic foundations and centres of pilgrimage in the west of Ireland, built in the 7th or 8th century.

Kilmurvey Craft Village
Located right at the entrance to Kilmurvey House is Kilmurvey Craft Village, where you will find some small, unique shops, selling everything from jewellery to handmade garments to delicious treats and cakes!
