EXCELLENTBased on 298 reviewsVerifiedSinead C2023-07-06Islands are the best Back for our 20th visit to Kilmurvey House our second home on the Aran Islands. While the baton has been passed to Noel the welcome is as wonderful as ever. The kids had great fun with Peg the dog a lovely new addition. Rain or shine Inis Mor is the best place in the worldVerifiedAnne M2023-07-01Top Class welcome and comfort. I'm a repeat visitor to Kilmurvey House - my first visit was pre electricity 50+ years ago. It was magical then and every visit since has been better and better - I've now met three generations of the family. A friendly, family run b/b, it's the best 'céad míle fáilte' you'll get in any part of the country. Comfortable bedrooms, several sitting rooms - for TV, reading, chat, meetings and the best breakfasts ever - great healthy selection, beautifully cooked and the homemade breads/cakes delicious. Situated beside a beautiful beach and at the foot of the wonderful Dun Aonghasa, while it is 8 kms from Kilronan (the main village), the limited transport doesn't interfere with one's plans. Lots of coffee and lunch places in Kilmurvey village, but unfortunately nowhere for evening meals, but Bertie or Noel are always available with the minibus to take you into the 'capital' whether for catching a boat or for an evening meal. I couldn't recommend it more highly.I hope to be back and back and back.....VerifiedMegan L2023-06-23High quality family inn Noel was an exceptional host, meeting us at the ferry to grab our luggage and giving us great suggestions during our stay. This is a third generation family business and it was clear that they put care and skill into everything they do. Great location in the middle of the island made it an easy launching point to see some of the historical sites away from the ferry port, especially Dún Aonghasa / Dun Aengus.VerifiedAlan A2023-06-20Great & Gracious hosts Fantastic location, amazing service., lovely breakfast . we stayed inroom, number 17, was on the first floor with a view of the landscape and the ocean (the front of the house). Thanks so much Treasa and Husband & son Noel for your hospitality. We had a wonderful stay. Noel can take you to the village for dinner and pick you up later. Great & Gracious hosts.VerifiedMargaret H2023-06-17Kilmurvey House is one of our favorite places in Ireland! We returned to Kilmurvey House to celebrate our 41st anniversary, as one of our favorite places in Ireland. This was our second stay, since our last visit in 2013. Inishmore is a magical place with lovely people. Noel and his fiancé, Tess, were our hosts and extremely welcoming, generous and thoughtful throughout our stay. Berti and Tresa returned on our last day so that we appreciated seeing them once more. We can’t say enough about this wonderful family and hold them and their home in our hearts with fond memories. We have traveled throughout Ireland and this is our destination place when we return.VerifiedTatiana & Niall2023-06-11House with a view of Dun Aonghasa Fantastic location, breakfast and service. Our room, number 2, was on the first floor with a view of the landscape and the ocean (the front of the house). There are some rooms with a view over the Dun Aonghasa which is a 5 min walk from the house. Thanks so much Treasa and Noel for your hospitality. We had a wonderful stay. There are some shops and a cafe in the corner of the house. Closing time at 4 pm, but Noel can take you to the village for dinner and pick you up later. Amazing service.VerifiedCaryl T2022-09-19A VERY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE FOR US We arrived at Inis Mor as the skies opened. Although we had jackets on, our clothes were soaked as were the spare clothes in our backpacks. Even our passports got wet through. Treasa was absolutely marvellous, she took all our wet clothes and those of the other five family members we were travelling with and dried them for us. Both her and Burtie were also very helpful with information of what to see and what to do. Our room was enormous with a very comfortable Californian king size bed. Our breakfast the next morning was excellent and Burtie drove us to the ferry. A lovely one-night stopover which we thoroughly enjoyed.Verifieddenis2992022-09-10Excellent Service and Experience Our annual trip to Inis Mór always starts with a visit to Kilmurvey House B&B. This is a fantastic hidden gem on Inis Mór. Treasa and Bertie always make the visit extra special with a really genuine welcome. The rooms are immaculately clean and there are several lounges for guests to use as they wish. The B&B is right beside the entrance to the world famous Dun Aonghasa site and only a matter of minutes walk from the Blue Flag Kilmurvey beach. We can thoroughly recommend Treasa's packed lunches; they are FANTASTIC!! Breakfasts are also extraordinary with a huge selection and a great start to the day. As with previous years, we will be back again next year.VerifiedSeamus C2022-07-25Perfect house, perfect location, perfect host - Ar Feabhas ar Fád We stayed just one night here, but it felt more like a week as all our cares melted away with the late evening birdsong and the warm welcome from our hosts Treasa and Bertie. There was a lift to and from Joe Watty's for food and then a lift to the ferry the next morning after a wonderful breakfast. It really was a perfect stay for two adults and two kids in large spacious rooms and a large but safe, very clean and very relaxed house. Right beside a blue flag beach and a local coffee shop and craft village and the stunning Dún Aonghasa / Dun Aengus. Highly recommended.VerifiedSusan C2022-07-15Kilmurvey house This was our 3rd visit to kilmurvey and it was wonderful. Teresa and Bertie are so welcoming.
